I lost my MAC foundation. I just can't find my shade in other foundations. I prefer liquid over minerals because there's more coverage.

The guy tried NC25 on me and orange???
it's not the kind of foundation you can just cover certain spots. I had people come up to me and blend out harsh lines ...

Not fun.

My boyfriend bought me this flat iron for xmas.

Solia 1 1/4

My review:
-takes less than a minute to warm up
- 10-20 minutes to straighten instead of over 60 mins.
-straightens wavy hair and very tight curls.
-with the right technique, curls and waves come out rather lovely
-temperature is more than good enough
-bends/shapes hair ( bangs) rather than having hair stick completely flat or up.
-very hot after a while: so learn to use it with both hands.

so far it's good.
my lips get chapped easily. any other products? i'm not really into spending $20

I've been on a short hiatus because lovelyish is frustrating. I've already made an account on xanga.

The guy found my shade (NC25) on the first try. I didn't notice how bad my dark circles were until he used the concealer. I'm in love with it. XD

I decided to do a picture tutorial for Curls Without The Curler/original post. Maybe it will help, probably not.

Twist that section around:

Roll it into a spiral upwards.. Tuck the ends underneath! Pin it.

I might do a video tutorial too but lighting is pretty bad..

You need at least one night to complete this look.

- Blow-dry your damp hair for about 5 minutes (use any products you need: hair-spray, frizz serum, curl enhancer, etc).
- Put your hair into a ponytail, high or low.
- Get some bobby-pins ready and grab small to medium sections.
- Twist that section around and roll it into a spiral (with ends underneath) and upwards towards your head.
- Pin it down! I had about 4-5 sections done.
- Do the rest of your hair. Add accessories, etc. Done!

Mine is done a bit messy:

At the end of the day, take the pins out and sleep on the hair.

Then, carefully take your hair out of the ponytail...

Voila! Waves and curlies!

I can't curl my hair well so this is a good alternative for me.

You can also use fabric wraps to twist the hair around with & pin down.

How do I protect my nails from infection?

I never got my nails done before so I may sound clueless. If you ask me what I got, I do not know. I just went with what the women said..

I'm going to ask you, is this common/normal?

Some of my nails bled. The nail & cuticle was shaved down so much and my nails were clipped to like, nubs. My friend got hers done too and they came out great. I'll post some pictures soon. A part of my nail was clipped off to the point ... I can see where the pink is and the fake part. (I keep looking at it.. it's screaming welcome infection)

I already put some medicine and bandaids over these areas...
what else could I do to make sure I don't get infected nails?

If these are how nails are done. I'll rather not....

makeup: where to start?

I didn't know where to begin when I first got into makeup. I've only touched drugstore brands and apparently, poor quality eye shadows, brushes, you name it! I remember walking into Sephora, Mac, any makeup department store.. to be overwhelmed by all of the products. At the end of the day, I went home with nothing. So considering I'm not loaded with cash, what products should you start out with then branch out?

What brushes are a must need?
Is there a brand/product that's quality doesn't match the $?

Fill me in.

Bras!

I remember going into the mall and shopping for bras. They had the cutest ones in my size too.

Lately, I can't find any cute bras in my size. Okay, don't give me that "the bigger the size, the less pretty it will be since its designed to support..." All of those bras are available in A, B & C only. Where is the love for D? :( A few years ago, I was able to find my size but now it's not available. I know I'm not the only teenage girl with Ds! My bras are from Walmart. It's the typical one color or kiddie puppy dogs/frogs/kitties (er no thanks). I want some in zebra, stripes and plaid bras dammit! I rarely ever buy any from Hot Topic. It's the only store I now that carries D.

Why take away D and beyond? We want support and pretty bras for a good price too. I'm sorry but $40+ for a bra isn't my thing. I'm sure it's just another sign that thin is better. So it's assumed that if you are thin, you have A, B or C boobs. So lose a cup size to fit standards. Hmm no.

Where do you shop for bras? Do you usually find your size?
